Who we are as a church

About Us

Founded in 1973, St Stephen’s Church is a member of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church of South Africa (http://www.reachsa.org.za/). We believe that all people are by nature fallen and in need of personal salvation. We further believe that such salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ as the unique Saviour and Lord. This faith comes to us as a gift of God and by His grace, powerfully at work by His Word and Spirit. We affirm that the Old and New Testament scriptures, and these scriptures alone, are the inspired, inerrant, authoritative and sufficient Word of God. As a church, we are committed to being faithful to the Biblical Gospel and to working hard to proclaim this Gospel in our contemporary South African context.
